Emerald had one request for this party and that was for it to be at a “grown up” place. I guess she’s outgrown the karaoke bar already? Whatever. We went to a nice bar in Oasis Springs. I choose it because it’s big enough for the regular patrons to enjoy themselves without getting mixed up with us but not so huge our party would feel disjointed.
Winston and I tucked ourselves away in the corner to observe and give Emmy space to be with her friends. Lemme tell you something… My baby is savage! I watched her as she floated between groups of friends, greeting them and thanking them for coming. I think she definitely is crushing on someone because at one point, she stopped and watched these two guys for a while before she turned on the magic and sashayed by them. She swung those hips like she owned the place! Then, she looked back to make sure they were looking. They were stunned, of course. Even the girl looked like she was willing to risk it all.
I was not mad at all. WERK, babygirl!
Winston was very quiet the whole night and looked like he wanted to hurt someone. Probably that curly haired cutie Emmy was ogling all night. It’s cool she probably doesn’t want to make her dad uncomfortable, but I hope she plans to call him or something. These early stages of the first crush are too stinkin’ cute to pass up!
