Family Fun Day came around again, and I was so excited to get us all out of the house and into the sun. Emerald thought she’d have to leave Shiloh behind again and begged to bring her. I laughed and told her it’s an outside event. Of course she could come. I swear she spent the entire afternoon loving on her new best friend. They’re so cute. At least I wouldn’t need to be on mom duty.

One of Emmy’s young friends from school found us and hung out for a while. She was such a nice little girl, unlike that weird one she brought home that time. Hopefully, her birthday will be soon so they can hang out more.

I got lost in a daze again as I watched her with friends. She’s so kind and respectful, despite what the principal thinks. He called the other day—again—asking what to do about Emmy shouting forbidden words. First of all, they’re just words. And she’s growing up! They’re part of the adult vocabulary. Secondly, if my child is shouting them, somebody must have really pissed her off and I want to know who they are. Stop calling my house with this mess!
