I haven’t needed a fireplace in a long time and forgot how pleasant the smell of burning wood is and the feel of heat on one side of my body. The cabin would have made a nice honeymoon. Or even some other cold place like Mt. Komorebi. We could spend the day playing in the snow and exploring the sights and the nights making love by the fire. That sounds like the perfect vacation.
But we have Emerald now, and perfect vacations have new definitions. That’s the life of parents: making adjustments to include our children to ensure they have a good time.
Winston shocked me again when he washed the dishes. He does it at home sometimes, but not enough to call it a normal occurrence. So far, Vacation Winston is someone I’d definitely like to keep.
