My child is beautiful. I don’t want to make her feel weird, but I love to look at her! She’s such an independent boss babe just like her mama. I still love waking up to see her off to school, but I also want to give her room to grow. She used to like making her own breakfast when she was little. It’s nice to see she still does.

I have to bite my tongue when I see her making small mistakes. Those are the kind she’ll remember if she figures them out herself.

Besides, we could have a budding chef on our hands! I wouldn’t want to stand in the way of her creative genius.
