The next day we chilled at the cabin. I figured my family would appreciate not having a full day of activities after a day of travel. We slept in late, had leftovers for lunch, and watched movies. That night, we went to the restaurant for dinner. Chatty, relaxed Winston made an appearance again. While it pleased me to hold his interests, it shocked me still. I never knew he wanted to talk to me like this. Am I really so self-absorbed I didn’t notice?

It snowed a little, and my daughter could barely contain herself as she stared at the falling white fuzz. I hope it snows properly while we’re here so she can make snow angels, snowpals, and throw snowballs…at her daddy.

I had to laugh at Winston when we placed our orders. As much as I would love to spend a ton of money on a big trip to some faraway place like El Selvadorada or Mt. Komorebi, I don’t think I’d want to go with Winston. At least, I can’t see him enjoying it properly. Those places are rich in culture, and partaking in said culture is an absolute must. Winston does not venture from his Willow Creek box much. The guy knows what he likes and likes what he knows. Take dinner, for example. Granite Falls is surrounded by beautiful lakes. Sims come from all over to fish in them. Fish served in restaurants in Granite Falls is some of the freshest you’ll ever get, and that’s what you should eat! But what did he get? Fried chicken and mac ‘n cheese. Uncultured beast…
