We kept stealing glances at each other with so many conflicted feelings and questions as we lead Emerald into her future. Will she like the house? Maybe we should have let her in on the decision. Who surprises someone with a whole house?? Should we have insisted she stay at home for a little while? Will she really be ok out here by herself??
