As I looked out at my family and friends, I got a little nervous. Not because I was worried or anything, but because this was such a huge move. Mommy wanted this wedding so everyone could shower us with love, but I also felt the weight of those phrases usually heard in wedding ceremonies. “Under the Watcher” and “before a crowd of witnesses” really hit home. I had zero intentions of ever hurting or leaving Ali. But if something happened, and we found ourselves estranged, it wouldn’t be just us affected. All the sims who cheered us on would be disappointed. I guess what I’m trying to say is the intimidation I felt was a good thing because it made me want to try that much harder to do the right things.

Ali joined me and looked nervous too, but he was more shy than me. He grabbed my hands and flashed that one smile that always made me weak in the knees. I still couldn’t believe how lucky I was to run into him that night.

Mommy and Dwayne heckled us as we said our vows and Ali got to the part about to have and to hold. He always messed with me, but he needed to watch out or he’d give himself away. Yes, Mommy still didn’t know it was Dwayne I took to the jungle. Ali knew but had no idea I slept with him. If it came up, I’d tell him, but I didn’t see the point in volunteering that information.

Mommy quickly hurried us into the kitchen after our first kiss as sim and wife. She baked a beautiful cake for me to cut.

Ali blew a horn and gathered everyone around. “I know all of you are here to celebrate us, but I want to be the first to introduce Mrs. Emerald Kierra Murillo!”

He said my new name! He was the first to say my new name! I loved it and thought it was so appropriate since he gave it to me.
