By the time we got home, I was starving again, so I grabbed some taco casserole and turned on a movie for us to watch before Mommy went back home. I enjoyed our day so much, I almost wanted to move back home so I could spend more time with her. Buuuut that would not be a good idea.
Exhibit A: All was quiet. Well, except for the TV, my fork scraping the plate, and Shiloh’s barks. Ok, so it wasn’t quiet, but you know what I mean. Everyone was minding her own business when, out of the blue, Mommy says, “So… Laurant, huh? Nice young sim … How come you’re not with him?”
I made it very clear I wasn’t with anyone, but she harped on how he looked at me, and me him. She could feel the tension between us and said I should rectify that expeditiously. There was no way she would drop this, and I knew I could not convince her otherwise, so I used the nuclear option. I’m not sure he knew it yet, but I told her about the baby he’s expecting with my friend. At first she understood and relented. She had a knowing look that made me curious. But then she recoiled, asking if they were together together. I said no.
“Then he’s still an option! I’m sure the three of you can come to an understanding.”
Ugh! She may be an elder now, but she’s not old enough to forget about how life works. Did she seriously just tell me to violate girl code? I can’t take her anywhere.
