FALL IS HERE!!! I have been looking forward to this season ever since I decided to live in Brindleton Bay. Living in Sulani is a beautiful, endless summer. I experienced a tiny bit of winter on our trip to Granite Falls. But autumn is something I’ve only ever seen on TV, and now it’s here, finally.

There are all kinds of festivals around town. I’m not sure who I’d like to go with or if I’ll try going alone. But one way or another, I’m going to all of them!

The leaves must have changed colors and fell all at once over night because I woke up to huge, vibrant piles half as tall as me! They screamed my name and begged me to come out and play. Sure, I’ll have to clean them up eventually (#adulting), but that can wait. I am living my autumnal dream!

Another cool thing about fall that I completely forgot about was Spooky Day. Someone knocked on my door, and when I answered it, some kid dressed as a bear stood on my porch with his hand out. At first, I was very much in “come get your child” mode, but then I remembered.

Maybe Spooky Day isn’t an observed holiday in Sulani. Or, maybe it is and my parents never dressed up took me trick-or-treating. Or it could have been some other reason. Whatever the case, I am very much looking forward to decorating my future house, wearing costumes, and doing fall things with my children.
