I didn’t think I’d be able to walk both dogs simultaneously, but Hunter makes it very easy. I put Shiloh on the leash because that is the only way to make her leave the house these days. Hunter follows us, and that’s how we have our family outings.

I saw Ali walking hurriedly past the house on our way back home. I KNOW he didn’t think he was going to casually walk past my house without saying hello! Seriously, dude? I called him out.

He started rambling about wanting to see me but not being sure if he should come by since he just saw me last night and not wanting to be creepy and all kinds of adorable shenanigans. I told him to never hesitate because I would love to spend every minute of every day with him. Ok, maybe not every minute. The fur babies wouldn’t appreciate that.

I invited him inside and took his coat and noticed he wore a lot of green. I told him we were meant to be together because green was my favorite color. He seemed fascinated by that observation and hadn’t realized his monochromatic wardrobe. He skipped the other part of that statement. That’s fine. I’ll give him another chance to respond later. For now, I wanted to get to the heart of who Alessandro Murillo is and asked what I thought would be a deep question.

“What type of work are you looking for?”

I should have expected he would say anything that paid the bills right now, so I rephrased to an actual deep question.

“If you didn’t need the money, and could have any job you wanted, what would you want to do with your life?”

He said he wouldn’t want a job at all. He’d want to be in control of his time, energy, and income. Shiloh was so rude and hollered as Ali mapped out this beautiful plan for his fictitious business. He enjoys working with his hands and crafting goods. His father was a carpenter and taught him how to use a wood bench. He also enjoys making candles! In his fantasy world, he would love to have a family business selling high quality, handmade home wares. What an amazing idea!! I don’t have as much money as I used to since buying a bigger home, but if we were to get married, I could definitely help launch the business and would love working with him. With all the time I have right now, I think I’ll start learning about these things.

“I have a similar question for you,” he said.

I got so excited. He could ask me whatever he wanted. I’ll always be honest.

“What do you want to do with your life? Like, what’s the one thing that would upset you if you never got to do it?”

That was a simple one, and not so deep. Just facts. “If I don’t have children, I will die.”

His smile caught me off guard. I should be used to it by now, but it engulfs my cheeks in flames every single time.

“What about you?”

He too did not hesitate. “I would regret it if I didn’t marry my soulmate.”

😍😍😍😍😍😍

Even our aspirations line up?! That’s it. No more dancing around it! He needs to get on board or get out because I WILL NOT be in limbo anymore! I went for it, though nervously. “Could you see me being your soulmate?”

There was that smile again! He scooted closer and grabbed my hand. I stopped breathing.

“Emmy… You are my soulmate.”

I was not prepared for the tears. They ambushed me like an angry mob. “I am?!”

“Yes. You are. I’ve been afraid to do or say anything because everything has happened so fast. I thought maybe I just wanted it too much, or maybe it was all in my head. Still, I couldn’t deny how I felt about you. Your heart is as big as the ocean, and I love that about you. And you’re hilarious! And bold and kind… Exactly the kind of sim I want to spend the rest of my life with.”

If he had more to say, I couldn’t let him speak or I would cease to exist. And I need my babies first, tee hee hee. His words overwhelmed me. I said, “I love you,” and forced him into a very deep kiss.
