I woke up dancing. This was both the best and worst year of my life. But at midnight, I’d get to close out this year and welcome a brand new one in a brand new season of my own life. New Year’s Eve was so magical!
I got a quick shower, dressed, and ran downstairs to make breakfast for Ali and me. But he was right behind me, trying to do the same thing. We had a cute little fight about who got to cook who breakfast and how often and how it better not be me all the time. I am the child of Amina Pope-Crenshaw. He needed to be faster to hang with me!
We had our first official discussion about our business! I enjoyed it so much and couldn’t wait to get started. It was NYE, so we could chill another day, but tomorrow it’d be on! We’re gonna go to the new maker’s center in Willow Creek to check it out and so he could start teaching me to make candles. Although I was excited, I was a little nervous too. Like, this was really happening! And not just the business, but…everything! I was really married. And soon I’d have a baby! Everything I wanted was no longer my future, but my present. It was kind of intimidating.
I didn’t know what Mommy did with the dogs, but they had been playing together all morning! She must have had a heart to heart with Shiloh because the girl would not give Hunter one inch. I was really glad to see them interacting and getting along.
Speaking of Mommy, I didn’t think about it at the time, but she could have kept them and brough them back today when she came over. But I guess that would have been a lot to ask. Or maybe they were too much for her.
Mommy came in with the jokes talking ‘bout where’s my grandbaby. SMH. Actually, that’s probably what Ali was doing as he sat between us, watching us go at it. He was probably like, what in the world did I get myself into? Too late, buddy! You’re in now!
