It’s our last day in this beautiful country, and I am free to explore the jungle with Dwayne since accomplishing my goal. I brought Shiloh along too since she’s been cooped up in the house all week. I was actually very excited, though I should have been terrified. Especially when the vendor told us everything we needed to buy. I bought two of everything while Dwayne was over there getting cold feet.

Turns out the tours he’d been going on didn’t take them deep into the jungle. They went to the museum and other tourist traps, so it would be both our first times! No wonder he looked scared.

“If we die in there, I just want you to know I had fun, and I’m really glad you invited me.”

I couldn’t help but laugh. So dramatic. We flipped a coin for who would cut through the vines, and I won. Good thing too because, even though he looks ripped, he has like no fitness skills, and we would be out there all night while he chipped away at the vines. I got us in quickly and heckled him a little.

It was all good though because he is aware and unashamed of his shortcomings. That’s some confidence.

The waterfall was magnificent! Just like the kind you see in the movies when the guy falls over the cliff and disappears into the fog. Wow! The roar of its power was so loud we could barely hear each other talk.

I found a dig site!! I ran over to it with the shovel the vendor suggested and started digging. Who knew what treasures lurked inside! I thought Dwayne would be thrilled to help dig, being an aspiring archaeologist and all, but he was freaked out by all the dirt. I always said he was too pretty for the jungle.
