Mommy had to leave first thing in the morning, and we were glad to see the storm hadn’t been that bad. It was still quite cold and icy in spots, but the sun came out and the snow ceased overnight.

The best part of my morning was waking up and finding Hunter still with us, chilling in the hallway. The second best part of my morning was watching Shiloh trying to figure out if she liked him or not.

She interacted with him with marked hesitance like some children do with new siblings…except this sibling is way older than her. But watching them interact and maneuver our small house made me realize we can’t stay here. I love this house. I’ve made many precious memories here. But these dogs are family, and this house isn’t right for us anymore. I want them to have the best quality of life, so I think our time in Brindleton Bay has ended.
