Most days I feel like a fake adult. I don’t work; I play with my dog all day; I come and go as I please. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not complaining! I enjoy the privilege of living this way. It’s just that I don’t feel very different from when I was a teenager. I have this thought often, but then something happens and reminds me I am very much an adult. My parents aren’t here to fix the sink when it breaks. It’s all on me. Luckily, they taught me how to do many things, and there isn’t much I can’t handle. I really hope I get the chance to pass on that same knowledge and privilege to the next generation.
