My friend Lucy invited me over, and though I was glad to hear from her, I thought it was weird. I’d never been to her house before. She lived here in Brindleton Bay too but in the harbor area. What was even more weird was walking into her kitchen only to be greeted by Duane Clemons, Devonte and Diamond’s older brother. I had no idea they were dating and was even more shocked to find out they’d eloped over the weekend! She wanted me to be the first to know, besides her mother. I was flattered that she thought of me like that, but wow! I’m still shocked.

I told her I was happy for them, and we all went into the living room to watch a movie but I was so distracted by this news. I really was happy for them. I was just so shocked. Lucy and Duane? He’s so much older than us. How did they even start dating? It’s none of my business. Some sims don’t mind age differences. I personally don’t want to be in my mom’s situation and would prefer to marry someone my age. But more than that though, if she thinks we’re such good friends, why didn’t she tell me about them? After the movie, before I left, I asked in private.

She said she didn’t know how. With all of us hooking up with each other and causing havoc, she didn’t want to add to the chaos. She also didn’t want to step on our toes in case we thought she wanted to flaunt him in our faces. I took offense to that. If we’re as good friends as she says, she should know we wouldn’t feel that way. At least not me. Diamond is a lose canon, and I’m not as close to Gemma and Nayla. But that’s all in the past. I’m moving forward in a new chapter, and I would very much like for her to be part of it. I let her know she could trust me and shouldn’t have to hide things like this.
