I am kind of obsessed with Sophia’s belly. I love looking at it, and I can’t keep my hands off it. I love the way it’s shaped and how it feels on me when she is close. Pregnancy looked so good on her. Not just because my baby was in there, but because she had a glow about her. Joy beamed from every pixel, and it was just so damn attractive. I told her this on the morning of the baby shower and got a lot more than I expected in return.
“Sir…are you trying to start something?”
Honestly, I wasn’t, but if she was offering, there was no way I’d leave it on the table.
“I meeeean…”
She grabbed my hand and pulled me upstairs. We might be late, but Mama will be okay.
As I waited for Sophia to finish her hair, I received a message from Dub.
My boy was officially a father and on his way to San Sequoia!! Tambara was absolutely gorgeous and already looking so much like both of them. It felt like a good time to give him our news, so I replied and told him about our sweet potato. I purposely omitted the details of the baby shower and felt so guilty. Even though I hoped nothing of the sort happened to us again, I promised myself to never leave him out of my life ever again.
