While I dealt with my cheeky tenant, Alessia and the kids moved in. I found her enjoying the slip and slide as I neared the house. I guess it will have to do since there’s no pool, heh. She ran over to me and started raving about the house and how perfect it is. I was really glad she loved like we did.
She mainly loved that it wasn’t as large as Mama’s house and she can keep an eye on her crew better. But like us, it’s the layout that did it for her.
I had been waiting for her to move in before I went inside and saw her unit firsthand. It was cozy just like it looked in the pictures. One thing surprised me, though. I thought that closet system would crowd her bedroom and make it difficult to get to the other side of the bed, but there was a lot more room than I thought, and I was officially jealous.
I asked where the kids were, and she said they’re playing outside, so I went home to tell Desi she had company. I took her outside, then went back in to get started on the cake. But before I got started, I watched them from the window to see how she fared, being on her own for the first time. She actually seemed a little shy at first, but that didn’t last long.
I saw Less had gotten dressed and was also watching from the sidelines. She doesn’t give herself enough credit and is a fierce mama bear. Lex, Arvin, and Breanna are lucky to have her as a mom. Soon, they’ll be old enough to realize it.
I go back to baking and peek back out the window when the cake is ready. Desi is having the time of her life in the ball pit for the first and last time, and Less has come from out of shadows and is playing with the kids. I couldn’t help but smile at the whole scene. This is what I wanted. This is why we moved here! My heart is so full.
And one more because Kooper loves the camera lol
