So, my main goal with this house was to make it comfortable yet elegant. The mansion was elegant and not comfortable. Even the family room was stiff, so I wanted the new house to be soft and comfortable—a place where you want to chill. I also want space for kids to be kids. The rooms in the mansion were filled with big, bulky furniture and there wasn’t room to run around.
I also love how even though the rooms are separated by walls, you can still see the rest of the house from the family room! So much better for keeping an eye on the kids!
