“Watch out, Bryce! You’re gonna get chocolate on your jacket.”
“I’ll get it cleaned,” he said dismissively. “I need to say something.”
She straightened her spine and cocked her head attentively.

That one eyebrow began to raise in tandem with Bryce’s anxiety.
