I love many things about Nick, but one thing that stood out to me in this scene is his gentleness. He’s a dude, and dudes like to fix things. In his dudeness, he does offer solutions to her problems, but he does it so gently. He could have been like, “Man, forget those people! It ain’t none of their biz anyway!” Instead, he matched her energy and showed sympathy. He’s always encouraging. Melany sooooo hit the jackpot with this guy!
