The difficult part about making a sim you randomly created long ago a main character is deciding what to do about their history. At least I like for all my sims to have pasts. I think it makes them more alive. Do you create more sims to be their family like Nick? Create a backstory that includes a family that lives very far away so you never have to show them? I’ve been wrestling with what to do about Anissa for a while and finally came up with something that works for me. She’s been in the story so long and never mentioned any family even once. Unlike Nick, she would be one to visit often and stay close to them, so I thought it might be weird for her to all of a sudden have relatives who lived close by the entire time. Stay tuned for more.
