The Question
The surprise in her eyes and shy grin on her face encouraged yet saddened him. It confirmed the state of their relationship and reinforced the need for this date.
“What about the kids?” she asked.
Their adorable, innocent, little darlings were half the reason things had gotten to this point. Both Kameron and Nadia busied themselves with loving on their children and trying to be the best parent for their own separate reasons meanwhile failing to keep up with the maintenance on their own relationship. But the other half, well, that was what he wanted to address that night.
“I’ve got that covered. Don’t worry.”
“Oh! Well, aren’t you a busy little bee.”
