Rodney, young, scrappy, and ready to take life by the horns, is a restaurateur from Del Sol Valley now living in Oasis Springs. As the young cousin of famed painter–and The Bachelorette contestant–Bryce Franklin, he’s had more advantages than most young people his age. When he expressed his intent to dominate the restaurant world, Bryce pulled his rich friends together to give Rodney a healthy start in his endeavor.
The young tom cat, self-named “Hot Rod,” is a perfectionist and runs a tight ship both in his restaurants and in his love life to his detriment. But, underneath the seriousness and perfectionism is a guy who just loves to laugh and have fun. Comedies are his go to, and scary movies are his guilty pleasure–especially the ones that make him leave the bathroom light on at night. He loves good food and is an excellent cook to the delight of women he desires to stick around.
Trysts and restaurants aside, Rodney’s deep desire is to make a ton of money so he can buy Mama a house and make it so she can live comfortably. As a single mother, she sacrificed for him in ways he doesn’t even realize, and he loves and appreciates her for that. There is no way he could ever repay her, but he’s sure gonna try.
