I thought I stopped breathing when I saw him take a knee. Tears streamed down my face before he even asked the question. My heart brimmed with joy, but I was so confused. He made it abundantly clear he was not interested in marriage, and I finally made peace with our situation. I didn’t need his last name to make my life complete, yet there he was with his knee in the snow.

As he spoke, he addressed my unspoken thoughts. He said I was a good sim and made the second half of his life better than anything he could have ever imagined. Children were never on his radar, but I had given him the most incredible gift he didn’t know he needed in Emerald. He was never good with feelings and emotional things, but I brought things out of him he didn’t know were there. For all I had given him, he wanted to give me the thing I had wanted the most.

I couldn’t believe my luck! Isn’t this how things always work? Sometimes we want things so badly, but they never happen until we let them go. I was so overwhelmed with excitement. Finally, I’d be his wife!

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that old hag from the karaoke bar staring at us.

I made a big scene so the message was abundantly clear. Winston is MINE, and she ain’t NEVER gonna get it. I took the ring, slid it on my finger and held it up in the air, mesmerized by its glimmer; the guy’s got good taste. I waved my hand around to make sure every light source around us caught its twinkle so Little Miss Rose Petals could see even through the snow. Then, to further incense her, I demonstrated how strong my boo was by jumping into his arms. He caught me, but I think he may have broken something. He’ll be fine. I’ll get him mended quickly.
